{ about DREAM ON }

Often, when people say "Dream On", there is a negative connotation attached to it. "Dream On" in our context has a total opposite meaning. We tell the youths to literally "dream on" – to continue pursuing their dreams with a positive mindset, to take action and bring their dreams to live.

Through the inspiring lyrics and youthful tunes that have been specially composed, we hope to convey the message – "Dream On. Cos dreams don’t need reasons to live".

Our project was comprised of several aspects. The main idea was to compile an original music album that was to be sold to raise funds for our chosen VWO. 1550 copies of the album was printed and sold to the public.

A Concert titled Dream On@DXO was also organized on the 22nd of July  at DXO to showcase the songs in the album. We were fortunate to have Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports to grace our event. On top of that, we also had amazing bands such as Fatskunks, Dancing Nancies, Glitched, Plain Sunset etc to perform for us at the concert.

We had an unforgettable experience in year 2006, reaching out to many volunteers as well as needy children. We battled through thick and thin as a team and finally emerged as champions. What we brought home with us was more than just a title. We learnt to appreciate each other’s strengths and weaknesses. We understood the importance of having passion in journeys we embark on. And finally, we realized that we could make a difference.

This year, we are back with more energy and new ideas. In our bid to contribute to the society, we urge you to lend us your support!
