GREEN is the new black! From low-carb to low carbon, environmentalism is the newest fad across the world. Young NTUC believes that caring for our environment shouldn’t just be a fad, it should be a way of life - a movement that makes a difference.
And a way of life it should be. The changing environment such as rising sea-levels will hit Singapore hard, and when that happens, the livelihoods of all Singaporean workers will be affected. So being green also means taking a stand for our workers too!
As we approach the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, Young NTUC aims in its own small way to play our part by the pledging of 100 trees to be planted. This garden will belong to everyone, members of Young NTUC and all workers!
Going green starts in our own back yard, and we hope you can join us in our various activities in the coming months to promote awareness, raise funds, and help to make our green pledge a reality.
Remember, go green now, good planets are hard to find!
