10 Oct 2009 Learning Journey to YOG Learning Centre

 

Young NTUC is coordinating a Learning Journey to the YOG Learning Centre. The visit will let our Young NTUC YOG Volunteers be more aware about the upcoming Youth Olympics Games in the year 2010.

 



01 Aug 2009 YCiS Net Learning Journey to Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

Participants will experience and learn about the mangrove ecosystem first-hand, through a sensory approach. You will also get to know more about the different habitats in Sungei Buloh and the community of plants and animals, their usefulness, and how they survive. The importance of nature areas like Sungei Buloh and how we can play a part in conservation will also be conveyed.

With a strong belief in the younger generation and their desire to shape the future of Singapore, the programme will encourage 200 youths to delve into a broad range of national socio-economic issues that affect Singapore society today. With the insight gained, these individuals will;      
                
1. develop a greater appreciation of the challenges and possible solutions to these challenges
       
2. understand what competitiveness and inclusion means for Singapore and how it relates to them
             
3. be able to make informed choices for themselves and for Singapore.
